The allegation was made in a complaint filed with the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) by disciples of Wat Phra Dhammakaya. He was accused of encroaching on about 300 rai of land in a forest reserve at Ban Mai Wang Phapun in tambon Mae Win. The monk said afterwards that he had explained to the DSI that he had not encroached on the land. He believed the Dhammakaya disciples filed the complaint to damage his reputation. The DSI was still to decide whether to take up the complaint for consideration as a special case.
